***We recommend no kids for this cocker boy!
Meet Romeo, a neutered, red n white, 4 year old cocker boy. He is an owner give up. He lived with a lady owner who had health issues and became very sick this past summer. When she couldn't care for him, she gave him to a nice lady who is a good friend and agreed to take care of him until things got better and he could go home. Unfortunately this didn't happen and sadly his sick owner contacted the friend and asked her to surrender him to rescue to find a new home.
He is heartworm negative, is a healthy boy and his vetting needs are current. He is supposedly good with children, but we do not recommend placing him into a home with kids because he is very sensitive about his ears being medicated/messed with and will try to bite at you. He does not appreciate being muzzled and can be difficult with it. He does like his crate, it seems to be his safe haven and as long as you take him out often, he should do well. He is afraid when taken outside after dark, he acts scared and uncomfortable not sure why, so he will need patience and your help with this issue. He does ok around submissive cockers, but the more dominant dogs must irritate him, as he will growl at them. At the temporary home with the owners friend, he was with a Chihuahua and showed dominance, but was ok with the cocker. If you can work with him on the things that he needs help with, show him patience and understanding and provide him the loving home environment that he deserves.............give this cocker boy his 2nd chance to be your favorite companion, a best friend and share a good life with you.
