Adoption Pending: We are not accepting any more applications for this sweet cocker boy. We have a home in the works.
Meet Toby, a chocolate cocker spaniel boy just over a year old. He was turned into a NC shelter by his owners when the weather here had turned so cold. They decided to do the right thing as he deserved a better life than living his life outside on a chain. He had been a house dog and then his family had their first child. He was put outside to live his life. He was given food, water and some attention but living his life chained up.
He came to rescue badly matted and dirty. Luckily, he is heartworm negative and he is now neutered. He is a timid, shy cocker boy who does not do well riding in a car. Loud sounds and noisy cars passing by scare him. He will need help with socialization skills and your patience and understanding to help him learn to overcome his issues. We only had him a few days and noticed that he must have been somewhat abused, because he will go into defense mode when something scares him or he is uncomfortable with the situation. He does like toys and can possibly be placed into a home with children 10 plus years old as long as they understand that he needs to be handled with care due to his past. This sweet boy needs a great home and someone to adopt him who will go the extra mile to help him, love him and appreciate him.
His adoption fee is: $400.
