This cocker girl needs an adult only home with lots of love and patience.
Meet Mitzi, a black, spayed cocker spaniel girl about 4 years old. She was taken in by an elderly Good Samaritan who noticed that she had been left behind when her owners quickly moved out of the neighborhood. She couldn't keep her, so her daughter asked for rescue help.
She is heartworm negative, in good health and friendly but shy. She must have been treated badly by her owners because we quickly learned that she snaps out of fear if we touch her or make her do something. She has not tried to bite. With great patience we have worked with her. Now she knows that we aren't going to hurt her, so she is not so scared anymore. She has become a happy, dancing girl who can be quite silly to get your attention. In her new home she will need a patient owner who can continue to work with her and give her time to trust you. She is doing well with the other cockers in her foster home. She would love a home with someone who can spend quality time with her, give her lots of attention and love and not be gone from home for long hours. She will be very happy to be your indoor doggie, share a great life with you and keep you company in the house as a favorite companion. Please give this little sweetheart a 2nd chance to have the loving home that she deserves.
