Donations Urgently Needed: This nice cocker boy needs heartworm treatment to get well before he can be adopted to a forever home. Please donate today: CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Thank you for your kindness
Meet Ian, a smaller male black n white cocker spaniel about 3 to 4 years old possibly with a bit of a mix and he has a natural tail. He came to rescue with 2 other cocker boys thought to be his brothers from a local shelter. All 3 of them were alone and running around loose until they got picked up as strays by NC Animal Control. No owner came looking for them so the staff asked for rescue help when all 3 cocker boys tested as strong heartworm positive.
This sweet cocker boy is indeed heartworm positive and needs treatment. Our vet found that his needs have sadly been neglected. He came to us matted, filthy dirty, with skin issues and an ear infection. He was also covered with ticks and fleas and had hooks and whipworms. These issues have been addressed. Shortly after coming here all 3 boys developed a horrible case of respiratory infection, so they were on medicines to get well. He will be neutered and have a dental done before heartworm treatment. It seems that he must have been loved. All 3 cocker boys are loving, gentle, very nice boys. He is a real sweet guy and dearly craves human attention and love. He enjoys being with his brothers, but Ferguson and Riley have a closer bond to each other. On a recent vet appointment we learned that all 3 boys are child friendly with children 7 and older. After heartworm treatment is done and recovery time, this boy can be in a home with children 7 plus years old. He is such a gentle, loving guy. Please consider adopting him after he gets well. He will be a wonderful companion for someone to love and share a great life with. Please donate today to help us get his heartworm treatment done. You can send in a donation to: CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or call it into our rescue vet: Cabarrus Animal Hospital: 704-920-0033 and ask to make a donation to Donna Carpenter's rescue account for Ian.
His adoption fee is $350.
