THIS IS A COURTESY POSTING ONLY: Charlotte Cocker Rescue is not to be held responsible for the health, temperament or vetting needs of this dog. We have agreed to help this family find this very nice looking cocker boy a new home. He is a special needs seizure dog who needs to be updated on vet care and get bloodwork done to control his seizure issues. He had a 3 year rabies shot done in 2017. Now he needs to be updated on other necessary shots and have bloodwork done to get the medicine to control his seizure episodes. Contact information is: Randy Clodfelter, send email message to: email@example.com.
VERY IMPORTANT: It will be the responsibility of the new owner to follow through on getting all vetting needs updated and the seizure episodes controlled by medicines after bloodwork is done. An adoption fee will be discussed at the time of inquiry to make sure that this dog gets a great home. A vet reference is required and a new owner experienced with seizure dogs is a plus!
My name is Gizmo and I am looking for a new forever home. I weigh about 30 pounds and I started having seizures last year, not sure why. I am a male, blond 4 year old Cocker/Springer mix, but I look mostly Cocker. My mother was a full Cocker and my dad was a full Springer Spaniel. I was adopted at 7 weeks old. I have had a good life, been treated well and I am very loved. Financially, my owners can't afford my care and vet needs as they are both disabled. It has been a very tough decision for them to give me up but they want to do what's best for me, and know that I need vet care done to help me live my life.
I am a very loving boy, neutered, micro-chipped and house trained. I do well with the grandkids when they visit and will run and play with them until I get tucked out and need to rest. I will bark at strangers but I have never snapped at or bitten anyone. I am shy when meeting new people but once you pet me, I will be your friend and want lots of attention. I love to go for rides in the car and I have even been on camping trips with my family. I do pretty well with most dogs as long as they are not aggressive. I love to sleep on the bed or the sofa and I am crate trained. I will enjoy spending quality time with you indoors and I would love to have a fenced backyard to do my business, run and play and chase after the squirrels passing by on top of the fence. I am a good eater, I eat twice a day and my owner will be happy to tell you what I like.
***If you are interested and might like to adopt me, an adoption fee will be discussed when you inquire and a vet reference is required.
