Meet Fritz, a smaller red n white cocker boy about 6 years old. He only weighs 17 pounds. A Good Samaritan saw him wandering daily in her neighborhood during the Thanksgiving Holiday. No one knew who he belonged to or where he came from. One of the neighbors was able to catch him and handed him over to her so she could try to find the owner. She took him home and quickly learned that he was matted and covered in fleas. She also noticed that he has suffered some abuse in his past. He gets scared at the slightest things and will cower. He had not been groomed for quite awhile so she cleaned him up and found out that he had two wounds, one healed and one not. He is not micro-chipped so she could not find his owner that way and no one seemed to be looking for him, like he had been abandoned and left to fend for himself. She contacted this rescue so that I could be treated and find a good home.
He is heartworm negative, just got neutered and had a dental. He was loaded with tapeworms due to all of the fleas and both ears were horribly infected. These issues have been treated. Due to his abusive past, we feel that he will do best in a loving, calm home environment with another calm dog companion who can be his pal. He is a nice cocker boy but seems to be a bit possessive with toys. He deserves a 2nd chance to have a great home with someone who will love him, work with him on the things that scare him and make him nervous and help him to have a good rest of his life. He would love to be your sweet baby boy and a wonderful indoor companion for you to love.
His adoption fee is: $350.
