No children for this cocker boy/Adult only home needed and secure fenced yard is necessary. Needs someone to help him become a good indoor companion.
Meet Bentley 2, a neutered tri-color cocker boy. He will be 5 this year in December. He came to rescue last year with a black cocker boy as an owner surrender. They belonged to an elderly owner who had to give them up due to health issues and she was taking care of her brother who had been diagnosed with cancer. He was not in rescue that long and was lucky to get adopted out to a family in December of 2017. Recently, he got away from this family and was picked up by animal control with no collar on him. He is micro-chipped from this rescue and the owner never changed it. The shelter notified us and we located his owner by looking up the adoption paperwork. Turns out the woman had been trying to catch him but couldn't find him and gave up. When we reached her by phone, the family did not want him anymore and surrendered him back to us to get him a new place to live.
He is heartworm negative, updated on vet care needs and crate trained, He loves toys and likes to run around a lot in a fenced backyard on a nice day. He CANNOT be placed into a home with children. He will do best in a home with just adults who can work with him on how to be a good indoor companion. He can be the only dog in an adult only home or an adult only home with a passive dog social pal. He gets jealous easily and will show aggression towards the situation. You will need to work with him on the things that irritate him, frustrate him or challenge him. He does have some crate issues that we have noticed and seen happen: When he is crated, he will growl at you or whoever walks by him. He has come back to us a bit overweight so we are trying to help him loose a few pounds.
His adoption fee is: $350.
